Soooo this is why I haven't done an RV tour 😅

Things don’t always have to be perfect. Sometimes, they just need to be good enough. 😉

We thought we were finally finished with the RV renovation, but when we turned the water back on and de-winterized everything, we realized we had forgotten to reconnect one of the lines. Water spread from the bathroom into part of the kitchen and dining area, so we had to pull up the vinyl planks and let everything dry.
Once the flooring dried, it didn’t fit back together the same way. Now the fridge is sitting in front of the kids’ room, and part of the floor is still unfinished.

It wasn’t ideal, but it was still good enough.

The kids have their own room and a space to call their own on their bunks. We have a working refrigerator filled with food, running water, and a place to call home. We have supportive family, caring friends, and a church family that sharpens us and stirs us up to love and serve the Lord. I get to stay home with my children, teach them, and care for the space God has given us.
But most of all, we have a faithful God who holds us in the palm of His hand. He is steady when life feels messy, gracious when we fall short, and worthy of our trust in every season.

Trust me, we are a whole mess sometimes, and it can be so easy to become discontent. But there is so much to be thankful for when we keep our eyes pointed in the right direction. 🤍

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

One of the kids' favorite breakfasts...
Bacon and Egg Fried Rice. 🍳🥓🍚

We finish it off with ketchup, and somehow it just works. It's simple, filling, and always disappears fast. 🤍

One of my favorite parts of the morning is how bright our bedroom becomes. There’s something about the natural morning light that does my heart good. It pairs so well with a prayer I've been praying for several seasons.

Psalm 90:14
"Satisfy us in the morning with Your steadfast love, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days."

More than waking up to sunshine, I want to wake up satisfied in Christ. Yet it's amazing how the Lord uses even the morning light to remind my heart of His kindness. The sun brightens the room, but His steadfast love is what truly will fill and satisfy my heart.

If this isn't your natural prayer, don't worry—it wasn't mine either. We ought to look to Christ to shape the desires of our hearts after His own.

He has promised that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us (1 John 5:14–15). And His Word is true: if we seek Him, we will find Him (Jeremiah 29:13; Matthew 7:7–8).

So ask Him. Ask Him to satisfy your heart with His steadfast love. He delights to answer prayers that make us more like Christ.

A little before & after.

This RV bedroom was found old, outdated, and filthy. Now it's been refreshed and filled with purpose, life, and love.

As I was looking over these photos, I think of what Christ has done for me. And he can do it for you too...

2 Corinthians 5:17
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come."

God doesn't merely patch us up or make us a slightly better version of ourselves. He makes us completely new.

New heart. New desire. New love.

God is in the business of restoration. He takes what is worn, broken, and forgotten, and He gives it new life—all for His glory and my good.

The old has gone. The new has come.

Pretty dishes don't wash themselves...

But they do make me smile.

I'm learning that creating little pockets of beauty in our home doesn't make life perfect, it simply reminds me to be thankful for what God has already given us.

Even a sink full of dishes is evidence that we've been fed, gathered together, and cared for. And that's something worth giving thanks for. 🤍

Something that has been spurring me on to trust my God and hold fast to His faithfulness is recently refreshed and found in Genesis.

Genesis 1:14–15
"Then God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night, and let them be for signs and for seasons and for days and years; and let them be for lights in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth”; and it was so."

God also says in Isaiah 55:11 that His word does not return to Him void but accomplishes that which He purposes.
In Genesis, God spoke: "Let there be..." And it was so.

Every sunrise and every sunset reminds me that God's Word has never failed. The sun still rises because God spoke it into existence, and His Word continues to accomplish exactly what He intended.

If His Word has upheld the rhythm of day and night since the beginning of creation, then I can trust every promise He has made.

As surely as the sun rises and sets, so also is my God's unfailing faithfulness.

See friends, this is not blind faith hoping in the mystical unknown. This is banking my life on the One who is known and has revealed Himself, not only through the proclamation of His majesty through creation, but fully and finally in Christ Jesus.

Will you put your faith in Christ?
