I began weaving baskets 17+- years ago with a class at the Owatonna Art Center. I made my first quilt for my daughter in 2003, or was it 2004, for her to take to college. Then two more for my sons. Yep, hooked!! For a few years I pieced the tops and took them to a local shop for machine quilting. Then one day my husband and I decided it was time for me to learn to do the quilting part as well. So
we researched quilting machines and settled on a Gammill Classic. I've been quilting my own and for others for 3+ years now and love it!!! I meet the nicest people, most creative people!! I do a few art shows in the summer and this year will be joining my local farmers market as well. I not only make quilts and baskets, but many other pieced, quilted or sewn items for purchase. Table runners, table toppers, bags, pillowcases, wall hangings, potato bags, clothes pin bags, soft minky baby throws......the list goes on. And it can change or be added to anytime I get a new request or stumble on a cool pattern or idea! This is the most fun I've ever had getting paid!!!!
