Bagels date back all the way to the 1600s, when they were traditionally hand rolled in Jewish bakeries in Poland before eventually making their way to New York City. 🥯

Back then, every bagel was rolled by hand, boiled, then baked fresh early in the morning — usually after bakers had already been awake since the middle of the night.

Hundreds of years later, that’s still how we do it at Italian Princess.

Every bagel is hand rolled the old-fashioned way because the texture, chew, and flavor just aren’t the same otherwise 🤍

And honestly… there’s nothing better than a fresh breakfast sandwich on a bagel that was made from scratch just a few hours earlier.
