it’s friday, so let’s talk about one of the people who makes this market feel like more than just a market. 🌳
meet Joe Powers with Arbor Addicts Tree Service Inc— one of our downtown palm harbor community market vendors, and honestly, one of those people who quietly shows up in ways that deserve to be talked about louder.
last market, he had a free little “grow your own sunflower” station for the kids, where they could plant seeds and take them home.
every month, he donates a beautiful tree or plant for our market bingo giveaway.
and this week? he saved my actual sanity.
a few weeks ago, one of my neighbor’s trees cracked during a storm and a huge limb got stuck up in another tree… hanging directly over my yard and right over where I park two of our rigs for the rustic avenue mobile bar.
with all these storms rolling through, I texted joe in full panic mode.
and I am not kidding — not even 48 hours later, on a holiday, he was at my house taking care of it.
I wasn’t even home.
I had full holiday brain and completely forgot he said he was stopping by. 😂
and this man didn’t just show up and do the bare minimum.
he moved my trailers carefully so he could access what he needed without damaging my equipment.
he took down what needed to come down.
then took down even more to make sure it was actually safe.
then cleaned up the aftermath, the brush, the chaos, all of it.
stress. gone.
that’s the kind of person he is.
so if you need tree work, storm cleanup, yard cleanup, plant help, custom plant/tree projects, or someone who actually cares about the work they’re doing — joe is your guy.
and if you see his yard signs around town this week, now you know why.
the downtown palm harbor community market is proud to help get more eyes on the local people who show up for this community, support families, solve real problems, and build businesses with heart.
joe, thank you. seriously.
now palm harbor… let’s love on him a little.
tag someone who needs tree work, share this with a neighbor, or go follow/support arbor tree attics. 🌳
because this is what local is supposed to feel like.
have a great weekend friends!!
