This month, we were proud to host two tours at our snacking tomato packing facility in Wimauma, FL.

We welcomed the Southeast Produce Council, Inc. STEP-UPP Foodservice Class as part of their field tour, offering a firsthand look at the work that goes into bringing fresh produce from the field to the foodservice customer. We also had the pleasure of hosting students from the University of Florida’s Postharvest Horticulture program.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to share our operations and support the future of the industry through education and collaboration.

This year’s holiday luncheons at our Palmetto and Wimauma facilities were filled with laughter, appreciation, and meaningful connections.

At Pacific Tomato Growers, through our Sunripe Certified Brands, we believe responsible farming means more than growing quality produce. It means prioritizing worker dignity, transparency, and continuous improvement in how food is grown and harvested. Doing the Right Thing.

Sustainable agriculture starts with the people who make it possible. Conversations like this reinforce why ethical labor practices must remain a shared industry commitment.

Experts say the Fair Food Program has helped improve conditions for farmworkers. But farms and produce buyers across the country have resisted joining.
