We understand the desire for Fall and cooler weather, especially when the feels like temps are 100+! But, tomatoes love these hot sunny days, and we love tomatoes so we can only complain but so much! Here’s a full update on availability for the upcoming LABOR DAY WEEKEND! Don’t forget, the FFA will be here on Saturday with their smoker selling smoked chicken halves!
YELLOW Freestone peaches grown in Virginia! LIMITED SUPPLY REMAINS. Once they’re gone, they’re GONE for the year! Pre picked in the market only. No u-pick peaches this year.
NECTARINES: very limited supply. By the pound only!
U PICK FLOWERS: sunflowers, zinnia, cosmos, amaranth, and more.
TOMATOES: Homegrown heirlooms, red slicers, yellow tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, green tomatoes
APPLES pre picked in the market only: GALA apples. Sweet and crunchy. GINGERGOLD apples. Sweet and great for fresh eating and sauce. HONEYCRISP APPLES also now available!
PRODUCE: yellow squash, zucchini, green beans, bell peppers, potatoes, onions, banana peppers, slicing cucumbers, watermelon, mini bell peppers, sweet corn, butternut, spaghetti, and acorn squash.
DAIRY: Homestead creamery milk, local cheeses, Amish style yogurt, butter, eggs, and more.
MEATS: grass fed, grass finished beef- ground, steaks, roasts, brisket, stew meat, kabob meat. Grass fed grass finished lamb- loin and rib chops, ground. Woodland pork- sausage, ground, links, and chops.
PANTRY: jarred goods like apple butter, jams, jellies, BBQ sauce, hot sauce, pickles, and more. Honey from our very own hives, locally milled flours, cornmeal and grits. Locally roasted coffees. Local herbal and loose leaf teas. Crackers and snacks. Baking mixes.
ICE CREAM: Homestead creamery ice cream by the quart. Nightingale ice cream sammies.
BAKERY: Apple cider donuts, apple pies, apple cake, cookies, muffins, white bread, sourdough (Thurs. restock), banana pudding, rice crispy cakes, and more.
GIFT SHOP: FALL DECOR, locally made jewelry, mugs, candles, tote bags, notebooks, gifts for gardeners, and so much more
