We are a small family farm rooted in regenerative organic practices, where healthy soil, cared-for animals, and clean food all go hand in hand. At the center of our work is our stone mill, where we craft fresh, nutrient-dense flours from certified organic grains—including wheat, rye, buckwheat, and cornmeal. By milling in small batches, we preserve the full flavor, texture, and natural goodness of
each grain, offering flour that reflects both tradition and quality you can taste. Beyond the mill, we grow a diverse variety of garden-fresh vegetables and raise pastured poultry for egg production—always without the use of synthetic chemicals. Our highest priority is stewardship: caring for the land so it can continue to nourish both our family and our community for generations to come. Our greenhouse includes an aquaponics system—a sustainable method that pairs fish and plants in a natural cycle—but it plays a supporting role in our broader commitment to regenerative farming. Our roots run deep, with a family farming legacy that began in 1993 alongside Jeff’s dad, Earl, blending time-honored practices with thoughtful innovation. From land once considered for industrial development in the 1980s to a thriving, working farm, Early Morning Harvest has become a trusted source for fresh, traceable food. We’re proud to serve our community not only through what we grow and mill, but through how we give back—donating flour to food banks, supporting hunger relief efforts across Iowa, and partnering with local grocers and independent stores to make our products accessible throughout the region and beyond.
