Good Morning! We will be at the farmstand for a bit this morning starting at 9am with some fresh sourdough cinnamon rolls and bread.
We will also have a few veggies this morning too. It won't be much but it's fresh picked.

We have added pickles, refreshed the eggs and have a few herb bundles.

First planting are looking GOOOOOD!

Starting next week we should have some kind of veggies starting with cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, and very soon zucchini and squash in the farmstand daily.
I will update what's available each day in my normal daily posts.

🌻 9 days of growth… nature is wild. (ignore the weeds if possible)

These sunflowers went from tiny seedlings to towering over the rows in just over a week. Watching plants explode with growth this time of year never gets old.

A few cool sunflower facts:
🌻 Young sunflowers actually follow the sun across the sky during the day
🌻 One sunflower head can contain over 1,000 seeds
🌻 Sunflowers are incredible for pollinators like honeybees and butterflies
🌻 The spiral patterns inside sunflower heads follow the Fibonacci sequence found throughout nature

If you see this growing, please consider leaving it alone instead of mowing it down.
This is Butterfly W**d (a native milkweed) and it’s incredibly important for monarch butterflies, native bees, and other pollinators.
Monarchs lay their eggs on milkweed because it’s one of the only plants their caterpillars can survive on. These bright orange blooms are also packed with nectar for bees and butterflies during the summer.
Sometimes the “weeds” are some of the most valuable plants we have. 🌼🐝🦋
