It’s Sunday, and our local vendors are setting up for another afternoon at the 304 Junction Farmers Market!

Every Sunday looks a little different around here — different vendors, different products and different things coming into season. That’s part of what makes a farmers market a farmers market. 🤎

If you’re out and about today, stop by 12–3 PM and see who showed up and what they brought! Shop the vendors outside, then head through the doors of 304 Junction and keep shopping the local businesses inside.

The people who set up each week put a lot of time into growing, raising, making and creating what they bring. Even a quick stop, a purchase or sharing the market with someone else helps keep these local businesses showing up. 🌱

🍂🌾 SEPTEMBER LOOKS GOOD ON THE FARMERS MARKET

Labor Day weekend gave us one of our best Sundays in a while, and we just want to say thank you to everyone who came out, wandered the market, shopped inside 304 and supported our local vendors. 🤎

And now we're heading into one of our favorite parts of market season.

September means the tables start changing. Summer produce is making room for pumpkins, gourds and fall harvests, while you'll still find the homemade, homegrown and locally made goods that have filled our Sundays all season.

🌿 VENDOR SPOTLIGHT | Wandering Roots 🌿

If you’ve spent much time at our Sunday market, you’ve probably gotten to know Wandering Roots — but you may not know quite as much about the family behind the table.

Wandering Roots is a family-run homestead and cottage bakery, with Britnee usually behind the kitchen and Ryan behind the garden, jams and jellies. 🧁🌱

Their table tends to change right along with the seasons.

🥒 From the garden, you’ll find whatever the homestead is producing that week — green beans, different varieties of squash, fresh pumpkins, decorative gourds, birdhouse gourds and other seasonal produce as it becomes ready to harvest.

🍪 From Britnee’s kitchen, there’s a rotating selection of baked goods made from scratch. Their bakery is completely artificial-dye-free, avoids high-fructose corn syrup, and even uses eggs collected from their own chickens in their baked goods. 🥚

🍓 Ryan also handles their jams and jellies, adding another piece of the homestead to what makes its way onto the market shelves.

This year, Wandering Roots has made the leap into making their homestead and small businesses their full-time family operation. When you purchase something from their table, you really are buying from the people who grew it, picked it, baked it, canned it or packaged it — and directly supporting a local family doing their best to build something right here at home. 🤎

That connection between homegrown, homemade and local is exactly the kind of thing we love having represented at the 304 Junction Farmers Market.

You can find Wandering Roots at the market on Sundays from 12–3 PM, and they also have a permanent spot inside 304 Junction for shopping between market days. Their contact information is available there as well, and they accept personal bakery orders throughout the year.

SMALL BUSINESS SPOTLIGHT | Cindy Mae Boutique

If you’ve been following along with our vendor spotlights this season, this one is a little different — because Cindy Mae Boutique isn’t outside under a market tent. She’s been part of the 304 Junction Farmers Market from the other side of the doors since the beginning.

Cindy Mae Boutique is one of the businesses that helped get this little Sunday market off the ground, and she’s also usually the first to offer up a market-day discount to give everyone another reason to come through the doors, shop around and support the businesses inside 304 while they’re here.

And there is a LOT more tucked over there than you might realize.

Cindy Mae carries an ever-changing mix of casual and trendy clothing, denim, cozy sweatshirts and hoodies, graphic pieces, seasonal styles, accessories and more, with options across a range of sizes. Her page is constantly filling up with new finds — from simple everyday pieces to western-inspired styles, faith-based graphics and those fun statement pieces you probably didn't know you needed until you saw them.

Which brings us to a pretty good reason to come see it for yourself...

We’ll be outside 12–3 PM Sunday, with local vendors bringing another week's mix of locally made, baked, grown and created goods. Then head through the doors and keep shopping the small businesses inside 304.

And we're not finished with this season yet. Vendor applications are still open through the beginning of October. You don't have to commit to every Sunday.
