Created to honor the past and carry our story forward, founder Tiffany Scott now opens her home as a Airbnb Vacation Rental. Welcome to The Sanctuary at Creek Crossing — a peaceful Appalachian retreat born from love, anchored in faith, and held together by the people who have walked this road with us. I’m Tiffany Scott, original owner of The General Store at Pine Mountain Crossing. In 2012, my hus
band, Ernie, and I built this Craftsman‑style home with our hands and our hearts — a haven by the creek where laughter carried across the porch and prayers lingered in quiet corners. We imagined growing old here, surrounded by family, neighbors, and the mountains that raised us. In the spring of 2023, everything changed when Ernie passed away unexpectedly at 46 from a rare brain aneurysm. In the tender months that followed, faith became our compass, and community became our strength. For the sake of our daughter, Addy, and myself, we relocated to the Carolinas — yet even as we stepped into a new season, our roots held fast.
“These mountains are my home. These people are my family.”
Those words are engraved on Ernie’s tombstone, and they’re engraved in us, too. They’re why we created The Sanctuary at Creek Crossing: a way to keep our story alive, remain connected to our mountain home, and continue the relationships that meant everything to us. While The General Store has closed, its spirit — belonging, kindness, and Appalachian warmth — lives on here. Inside this home, you’ll find memorabilia from the store, story‑filled touches, and the kind of welcome you felt when you stepped through our old front doors. What made the General Store successful under our leadership was never just the products — it was the people and the relationships we cultivated. This Sanctuary was created with that same heart. Whether you’re visiting family, bringing in a guest minister, hosting a consultant or community leader, or simply seeking a quiet mountain retreat, we hope you find here what so many found at the store: a place to rest, renew, and feel cared for. Stay where the story began — down by the creek. Choose a full‑house rental for your group or a main‑level 1‑bedroom stay for a cozy escape. However you come, know that you are welcome — not just as guests, but as part of the story we’re still writing. From our family to yours: thank you for helping us carry this legacy forward. Keeping the story alive. Beginning a new chapter together. Craftsman‑style comfort • Story‑filled spaces • Appalachian warmth
