Retail Butcher and Clerk (Templeton)

J&R Meats is seeking a retail butcher and clerk to serve customers and close the store up to 6 days per week (30 to 40 hrs). Experienced candidates preferred but we can train promising applicants without experience. Please go to store (1121 Rossi Road, Templeton), fill out application and provide resume.

Daily Tasks:

• Stock cases to present an abundant, fresh selection of product
• Greet and serve customers in a polite and cheerful manner
• Take and satisfy customer retail orders promptly and accurately
• Maintain organization of shop freezer, coolers and any supplies
• Email daily closing information and related paperwork to bookkeeping
• Maintain compliance with California and local health codes and regulations
• Monitor deposit log and any cash transactions IE: Deposits, Gift cards and payouts

Irish Americans are mostly descended from the millions of 19th century immigrants that fled starvation and oppression in the Old World to seek opportunity in the New. They helped build the canals, railroads, farms and cities of the prosperous and plentiful America that we all enjoy today. Did you know that there are more than 2 million Irish Americans (more than any other state).in California? They brought with them a knack and a preference for salted or "corned" beef. It's an easy to cook, ancient brisket preparation that we associate with St Patrick's Day, the traditional Irish appreciation day. We've got Corned Beef, pre-seasoned and ready to cook as well as a Shamrock Stout Sausage to celebrate the green!
