This is what I made with the last of the peaches I had been hoarding. Just enough to slice and create a topping for my focaccia. YES! It was delicious.

We are planning on reopening for raspberries September 9th. That is the Wednesday after Labor Day. We will not have apples for U-pick. There’s hardly any and there’s too many worms. Evidently our mating disrupters didn’t work very well in our apples. 😢

What Time Is the Lunar Eclipse in Each U.S. Time Zone?

The worldwide maximum occurs at approximately 4:12 a.m. UTC on Friday, August 28. In the four major U.S. time zones, that becomes:

Eastern: 12:13 a.m. EDT Friday

Central: 11:13 p.m. CDT Thursday

Mountain: 10:13 p.m. MDT Thursday

Pacific: 9:13 p.m. PDT Thursday

Note: If you live in the Central, Mountain or Pacific time zones, go outside Thursday night, Aug. 27. Don’t wait until Friday night. The eclipse will already be over.

On the East Coast, the partial eclipse begins at about 10:33 p.m. Thursday, reaches its most dramatic point shortly after midnight, and the Moon emerges from the umbra around 1:51 a.m. Friday. The more subtle penumbral phase continues until roughly 3:01 a.m.

You don’t have to be outside at the exact moment of maximum eclipse to enjoy it. In fact, watching for 30 minutes or an hour around the peak can be more rewarding because you’ll be able to see the shadow changing shape across the Moon.

UPDATE: Everything was picked over last night. There’s just a few peaches here and there. You’ll have to hunt for them and they won’t be perfect.
