’TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE BUCKEYE FOOTBALL

’Twas the night before kickoff, all through the great state,
Buckeye Nation was restless — we simply can’t wait.
The scarlet was ready, the gray laid with care,
For everyone knew BUCKEYE FOOTBALL was there.

The coolers were packed and the b**r was on ice,
The brats from Pembergrille — and damn, they smelled nice.
The tailgate was loaded, the flags flying high,
And tomorrow the Buckeyes would take to the sky.

From Pemberville southward, clear down to the Shoe,
There was only one question: What time do we brew?
The co****le boards waited, the grills standing tall,
Because in the great state of Ohio, Saturdays mean football.

The Horseshoe stood silent beneath the night sky,
Waiting for thousands to scream O-H-I!
Then O! comes roaring, so mighty and loud,
You can damn near feel Columbus shake from the crowd.

Soon the Best Damn Band will come marching on through,
With Hang On Sloopy and Script Ohio too.
Then that sousaphone player, with Buckeye pride,
Will dot that great “i” as we lose our damn minds.

And somewhere up north, there’s a team we won’t name,
Probably already making excuses for the game.
They can wear all that maize, they can wear all that blue,
But there’s only ONE team that matters to you.

So pour one more cold one and get yourself right,
Because Christmas can wait — THIS is our night.

At Frobose Meat Locker we believe the best traditions are the ones worth keeping alive. 🇭🇺🔥

Our homemade smoked Kolbász is a proud nod to Hungarian roots. Real pork. Fresh garlic. Pepper. Caraway. And that beautiful Hungarian red paprika that gives it the flavor people have loved for generations. Then we smoke it the old-fashioned way — the way it’s supposed to be done. Made, not manufactured.

Slice it thin and enjoy it with bread, or add it to classic dishes like Lecsó or Rakott krumpli. However you serve it, it’s a taste of history.

Our family is incredibly proud to keep this Hungarian sausage tradition going. Some traditions fade away… but not this one. This is looking to the future without forgetting the past.
