My name is Kelvin Vaughan and with the help of my wife, Shannon and our son, Kai we have started Ocean Wild Seafoods here in Pendleton, Oregon. I was born and raised in Southeast, Alaska commercial fishing. In 2009 I met Shannon, while attending Western Oregon University. We stuck around Oregon until 2013 when we moved back to Alaska so that I could invest more into commercial fishing. In 2015 I took the full plunge and bought my first fishing vessel, a 58’ seiner we named, Mary Elizabeth. In the fall of 2018 we moved back to Oregon, with our then 2 year old son, to be closer to Shannon’s family. I still own and operate my boat in Alaska and Washington.
One of my first goals with Ocean Wild Seafoods is to have products available to customers that I have personally caught, we will be able to take extremely good care of the product from the time it comes out of the water until it hits your freezer. That way you can have the comfort of knowing for sure that what you bought is of highest quality possible and straight from the source.
