We are a small scale family farm producing healthy food for our family and community. We believe that the ethics of eating animals requires us to produce only the most flavourful meat possible. We also produce fine wool, sheepskins, and eggs.

We have a piglet who needed some extra care. Slept in a basket with a hot water bottle by the bed. Kids have been feeding and playing with it since yesterday. Tricia still thinks she is going to get her back on Dixie. She doesn't realize we have a new pet.

hello friends. We will be taking three of our lovely pigs to slaughter next week. Please message me if you are interested in a whole or partial hog. Our Guinea Hogs are hand reared on organic scraps, forage, and supplemental feed from modesto milling. They are incredible in flavor, and are on the slow food Ark of Taste (http://www.slowfoodusa.org/ark-item/guinea-hog). they are NOT a conventional carcass, in that they have a higher fat content, and really amazing flavor. If you want a whole carcass, you will be able to render many pints of cooking lard from the fat slabs you will get. We use it to cook almost everything, it is a wonderful product. we will also sell rendered lard in pint jars later. carcasses aer smaller than a modern breed, at 75-125lbs, with probably about a 60% yield.

The Guinea Hog is a small, black breed of swine that is unique to the United States.
