Grateful for an incredible season. Big thanks to everyone who supported me in and out of the shop, and to all my loyal customers… this wouldn’t have been possible without you.

Now it’s time to debrief on the last six months and start planning what’s next 💪 Excited to share some big updates this offseason, along with improvements to bring you an even better product year after year.

It’s one of those feel good kind of days. As deer season starts to slow down here at the shop, we’re still staying plenty busy in the best way possible.

We’re currently working alongside several community based deer management programs, processing thousands of pounds of venison that will go directly toward helping others. Most of it is delivered to our close friends at Mercer Street Friends, who make sure it reaches food insecure communities and families in need.

Today alone, we delivered 811 pounds of venison, and there’s plenty more where that came from.

Here at The Valley Butcher, we’re incredibly grateful to be part of a process that turns hard work, conservation, and generosity into real impact. Knowing that local hunters and our shop can come together to help others means everything to us, and we’re proud to keep doing this work for as long as we’re able.

Game day ready? Whether you are watching the game or not… better be eating your venison this weekend or daddy gon be pi**ed.

One more week of shotgun here in Jersey, and two more weeks of bow. If you haven’t stacked that red meat in your freezer you better pony up and get out there.

Due to staff shortages and a high influx of deer after firearm season, deer intake will be suspended until January 1st.

Fat load of Breakfast, Sweet and Hot Italian sausages. Don’t forget about the loose chorizo we make as well, it’s a crowd pleaser.

Please don’t mind the song attached, it may be dirty but the sausage is clean… for some reason it was recommended by AI for the photo and Meta won’t allow me to change it.

Interested in venison? How about a processed deer to your liking? At the Valley Butcher we now offer a program this year that does just that. We have hunters in the area that harvest deer on management programs and their freezer is already full, and they have the option to donate their deer to our list of interested members that would like to bring home some healthy, lean, living off the land whitetail. Can’t get that at the grocery store, but you have the opportunity to get it here at our shop. If interested please follow and direct message and we will give you details. Our current cut sheet is pinned on our Instagram page, check it out! We also cater a cut specifically for dogs if you would like to treat your doggo to some yums🐕🐕‍🦺🐩

PSA- the sale of wild game is not legal, but the donation and processing service fee from a butcher is.

Six-Day Firearm Week is right around the corner, and our butcher shop is celebrating with a giveaway! And this one isn’t just for hunters — it’s for anyone who enjoys great venison.

One lucky winner will receive a community deer fully processed by yours truly, The Valley Butcher. The winner’s venison package will include several of our specialty products:
• Venison bacon cheddar caramelized onion burger
• Lean ground venison for sauces and chili
• Sweet and hot Italian sausage
• Chorizo
• Snack sticks for easy, on-the-go protein

It’s been a busy and great season! We’ve welcomed lots of new customers, reconnected with returning ones, and sent home plenty of happy hunters with meat in the freezer.

While packing orders yesterday, I realized we’re only a couple of days away from Six-Day Firearm here in NJ.

To celebrate, we’re offering 5% off your entire processing fee for any customer who brings a deer in Monday through Saturday next week. Just write “6-day” in the note section of your cut sheet (attached for reference).

Please note: this discount cannot be combined with our military/first responder discount of 10%, which we offer all season!
