Today, the Joe Patti Seafood family joins our Gulf Coast community in mourning the loss of our dear friend, Patrick McClellan.
Pat was instrumental in helping build the Flora-Bama into the iconic Gulf Coast destination that has become a part of so many cherished memories. His vision, hospitality, and love for this community helped create a place where lifelong friendships were made and traditions were born.
For the Patti family, this loss is especially personal. Our friendship with Pat and the McClellan family spanned decades. We celebrated life's milestones together, stood beside one another at weddings, vacationed together, and shared countless moments filled with laughter, friendship, and love. Pat always welcomed us with open arms, and those memories are gifts we will treasure forever.
Pat was also a loyal friend and supporter of Joe Patti Seafood. We were honored to share in many Flora-Bama traditions over the years, including when Frank Patti, Sr. had the privilege of throwing out the first mullet to open the annual Mullet Toss. Those moments represent the friendship between our families and the deep appreciation we shared for our Gulf Coast community.
Pat never met a stranger. He had a generous heart, an infectious smile, and a gift for making everyone feel like they belonged. And if you knew Pat, you knew his hugs—they were legendary. They weren't just hugs; they were heartfelt, genuine, and had a way of making everyone feel like family. That was simply who he was, and it is how so many of us will remember him.
To Sheryl, his children, grandchildren, and the entire McClellan family, please know that our hearts are with you. We are grateful for every memory we were blessed to share with Pat, and we will carry those memories with us always.
Rest in peace, dear friend. Your legacy of friendship, generosity, and Gulf Coast spirit will never be forgotten.
With love and deepest sympathy,
The Joe Patti Seafood Family
