A few chairs are still open for the very first B Book Club, meeting Wednesday, September 2nd from 6pm-7pm inside the B Shed.

We're reading 'The Best Cook in the World" by Alabama author Rick Bragg and keeping this first gathering cozy with just ten readers.

No pop quiz. No book report. Just one good book, one cozy hour, plenty to talk about, and snacks and beverages too - because discussing a book about food while hungry would be poor planning..

THE WATERMELONS WOULD LIKE TO REMIND EVERYBODY IT IS STILL VERY MUCH SUMMER. 🍉

Apparently, they caught wind of all those mums rollin' in and said, "Now wait a biscuit-bakin' minute."

So the seeded and seedless watermelons started showin' up.

Then more showed up.

Then everybody's cousins showed up.

And now Watermelon Mountain is back, piled higher than good sense and makin' absolutely sure nobody gets too carried away hollerin' about fall.

Come get you one.

Better yet, get two before this turns into a full-blown turf war. 😅

These watermelons have made their point.
