Today we say goodbye to two of Apple Market‘s finest.

Jack Strother has most recently been an evening time supervisor. He joined us at age 15 in 2021 as a bagger. He has been an exemplary employee and leader. After working his way through George Stone, Jack has been hired by Armstrong Electric where we are sure his personality and work ethic will serve him and their customers with the same excellence.
Good luck Jack! You will be missed!

Next, we sadly say farewell to our meat market manager Joe Flaningam. Joe has been the leader and main reason for the success of our meat department for the last 17 years. He says it’s time to retire and travel. Spend time with the grandkids.
Those famous, filets, strips and ribeyes, gorgeous prime ribs and that fresh, never frozen chicken that is our standard, are because of Joe and his team’s love of quality and our customers.
On a personal note, in 17 years Joe has never missed a day of work, I’ve never seen him cross, even under pressure.
He has been one of the finest men I’ve ever had the privilege to lead.
There is so much more I could write about Joe but I’ll leave it at farewell friend. You will be missed by us and by the many friends you’ve made these last 17 years.
Enjoy your retirement.
But, keep your phone on you hahaha!

Oh, and don’t worry, Joe has left us in good hands that will carry on the tradition!

Today was an extra special day for our family!
Taylor Ann Dull graduated from Pace High School. Taylor is 3rd generation Apple family-daughter of Britney and granddaughter of Mica and David Apple.
Taylor is a cashier at Apple Market and has been brought up in the family business her whole life. She will be working with us through her college career and we can’t wait to see what this next chapter holds for her!
Congratulations, Taylor!!! We LOVE you!!
