Construction crews will continue working across Perrysburg next week as several infrastructure projects move forward. Here's what you can expect:
🚧 Downtown Revitalization Project – Phase 2: Crews poured sidewalk along the building fronts at the stoops, completed curb and gutter installation using the slipform machine, and installed streetlight poles and landscaping on the east side of Louisiana Avenue.
Next week: Block walls along the buildings will begin in preparation for the sloped sidewalks. Additional curb and gutter work, asphalt installation, block planter construction, and preparation for new streetlight and traffic signal pole foundations will continue in the coming weeks.
🚧 SR 25 (North Dixie Highway) Multi-Use Path Project: The contractor continued excavation and stone base installation for the new multi-use path and worked on relocating pedestrian signals to accommodate the new path alignment.
Next week: Multi-use path construction and pedestrian signal improvements will continue.
🚧 Elm Street & Indiana Avenue / East Boundary Street & Indiana Avenue Signal Improvements: FirstEnergy returned to complete power removal at both intersections and installed three of the four remaining streetlight fixtures. The contractor was then able to remove the remaining traffic signal poles and foundations.
Next week: The contractor will return in the near future to complete the remaining restoration work.
🚧 Coe Court Traffic Signal Improvements: The contractor completed directional drilling beneath Coe Court and the fire station driveway and began excavating the foundations for the new traffic signal poles.
Next week: Work will continue on signal pole foundations, underground conduit installation and pull box placement. Due to a manufacturing delay, the new signal poles are now expected to arrive in early October.
🚧 Fort Meigs Road Ditch Improvement Project: Crews continued progress on the ditch improvements, including ongoing sheet pile installation and preparation for the future multi-use path.
Next week: Work will continue on the sheet pile cap and path preparation activities.
