The position of Quality Assurance Manager is a step toward supervision, and to that, the person in this role will be expected to proactively learn and practice leadership. The cheese Quality Assurance Manager is considered a senior operator and “team leader” who will assist the production Plant Manager in the front line operations of the departments. He or she will build and lead by maintaining a strong team relationship with all other positions throughout all plant departments.
Job Description:
• Coordinate company HACCP program implementation, quality training, recording, and all related issues.
• Responsible to report food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance to plant and management team with authority to initiate actions.
• Organizes and conducts internal audits and works with outside auditing companies.
• Organizes and oversees all internal product testing from raw material, packaging, ingredients, and product in transit, to finished product and sensory evaluation.
• Organizes and manages all outside testing such as Listeria test, milk test, and iodine values.
• Responsible for keeping all packaging and records in compliance with regulations.
