In celebration of Earth Day, we'd like to highlight The River Otter Ecology Project for all of the work they are doing protecting watersheds and educating people (including us) on the importance of the river otter's role in our ecosystem.

We recently had a pair of river otters visit our pond! Our friends at River Otter Ecology Project taught us that not only are river otters good swimmers, but they're also agile and fast on land. Add to that their natural curiosity and big appetite and you have an animal that travels! We'd like to think they came for the cheese, but we have a hunch it was for the crawfish in the pond...🦦
