It's honestly irresponsible how ridiculously delicious our Food Truck Menu is right now...

New Food Truck Menu Items this Week:

To be honest, it's not really fair how absurdly good our farm makes this food taste.

I mean, have you HAD a perfectly ripe tomato on a warm BLT?

Our Grassfed Burgers are loaded with tender Bear Creek lettuce, vine-ripened BCOF tomatoes, and two perfectly smashed local beef patties.

Back by popular demand (and now that we've harvested our first few cukes of the season), our Pork Banh Mi is BACK!
It was SUCH a hit in fall 2025, it is joining our regular menu for all of 2026!!!

True story:
It was just after 6pm the other day, and there was a customer car parked about halfway between our Market and Atkins Road. Farmer Brian being the helpful fellow that he is, was concerned that perhaps they were having car issues. Upon cruising down to see how he could help, he learned that this customer simply HAD to stop and chow down their Food Truck goodness because their mouth was watering too much!
They couldn't imagine driving all the way home and waiting another moment before devouring their Grassfed Burger and Farm Fries!

And we get it!

As the Food Truck Season ramps up, this is the time of year we get a lot more notifications about customer feedback and customer reviews online.

Sugar Snap Peas are here!

Fresh, Organic, Hand-Picked Sugar Snaps are the ultimate Spring treat!

And while they're not always picked by The Weekend Crew (seen here), they are the current favorite crop in our family!

Last year was our first year growing a bunch of sugar snaps, and we learned a lot.

The biggest lesson? We needed to grow a LOT more to keep up with demand!

This year we've planted way more, we've got more experience under our belt, and we are picking them every other day for maximum freshness!

These spring delicacies are available in our Market now, six days a week!

Seed Potatoes on Sale!

Is there still time to plant potatoes?
Absolutely!

Do we still have a bunch of seed spuds?
You betcha!

With *hopefully* some decent rain in the forecast, we know it'll be a good weekend to get some taters in the ground!

Growing potatoes is a magical experience and kids dig it!

The seed potatoes are in the cooler with asparagus crowns and onion sets.

All of our seed potatoes are in pre-packaged bags.
Each bag will plant 10-12 row feet of potatoes spaced at 10-12" apart.
Smaller potato seeds can be planted whole and uncut.
Larger seed potatoes should be cut into smaller pieces with 2-3 eyes per piece.

Bag prices vary from $3.99 to $5.99 per pound with varieties ranging from classics like Yukon Gold and German Butterball to specialty spuds like Banana Fingerling and Blackberry.

Eeek! It's Already June!

How did that happen?!?

While we definitely need rain, we are appreciating the extremely pleasant temperatures.

It's been a BIG week of planting on the farm.

And we're here for it!

One week ago today, we were running out of superlatives to explain how excited we were for the most magical time of year. And boy oh boy did you agree!

In the last 10 days, we have welcomed over 5,000 customers to the farm and we have sent tens of thousands of plants to happy new homes!

This is unequivocally our busiest time of year, and we are LOVING it! We're seeing so many familiar faces and so many fresh faces, too!

One other thing that's changed from last week to this week?

We're starting to run low on certain plant varieties. Believe it or not, some items are sold out for the season. Not many, but some items are done for 2026 (looking at you: strawberries, watermelons, ground cherries, strawflowers, statice, lemon verbena, and several seed potatoes...)

We work very hard to rarely use fear as a marketing tool. And please be assured that this is not that. We know that many of our customers are traveling a considerable distance to visit our Plant Sale and we feel a duty to provide honest and transparent updates on plant inventory.

Most items are still very much in stock.
More than 90% of varieties are in stock.
A handful of items are running low.
And a small number of items are completely sold out.

Based on the strong customer traffic over the last seven days and the favorable planting weather ahead (slightly cooler, and somewhat cloudy...though we could still use a good, soaking rain!), we would encourage folks concerned about getting their specific varieties selected to come out sometime in the next few days.

Every plant we have available for the Plant Sale is officially IN the Plant Sale. Our backstock greenhouses are empty and the Plant Sale houses are overflowing with organic goodness!

Free Plant for Kids Begins Now!

Kids love greenhouses. And we love seeing them take it all in. Which is why we are so excited to welcome the return of one of our best ideas ever!

One FREE plant for each kid that visits!*

Starting today, any child 12 and under, who comes to our greenhouses, can choose one free plant to take home with them.

Flower, vegetable, herb, it doesn't matter. Pick a pot, feed the curiosity, embrace the responsibility, and discover the joy of growing.

We've had the privilege of providing thousands of plants to children over the last few years. And we have no intention of stopping now!

Children love planting. And they love picking things out. And riding in wagons. And digging in the soil, and scooping, and learning. Gardening is truly one of the best activities for their young minds. It is pure magic.

And we want to foster that magic. No strings attached. No purchase necessary.

Our dream is to help the next generation experience a connection to growing things that many of us never had. To connect them with the natural world. To inspire them to experience awe. Responsibility. Effort. Magic.
Less screen time, more plant time. Unplug and dig in!

Bring the kid(s) in your life to the greenhouse to let them embark on the magical journey that we are so fortunate to live and breathe everyday. Growing life from soil, sun, and water.

Each year our farm gets a little more kid-friendly.
So before or after you pick out a plant, you can also enjoy our play area, take some turns on the 'race-track', enjoy our food truck kids menu, or treat the kid(s) in your life to one of our delicious cookies or popsicles!

One plant per child. The child must be present to pick their plant. No purchase necessary. Valid from 6/1/26 - 6/30/26. Plants must be under $10. Children should be accompanied by an adult. Our greenhouses are magical. But they are still full of tripping hazards, other customers, and ferocious felines.
**And please, for the love of the children, let your kid choose their own plant. Let's try our best to keep this fun and remember, this is a free plant for the kids, not their parents. We reserve the right to deny parents from forcing their children to pick something against their will.

Peak Plant Sale is Here!

The weather is perfect (finally!), and the plants are perfection!

Dairy Doo: Crisis Averted!
And a bulk Doo sale this weekend!

Good news, bad news, good news, and GREAT News!

First off - some awesomely good news!

Over the weekend, Farmer Brian scooped our 1,500th tractor scoop of Dairy Doo for Bear Creek customers in the last 6 years!

AND! And he's very proud of this...we have done all 1,500 scoops without ever hitting a customer's vehicle! That may sound obvious, but we've loaded some seriously unique and sometimes sketchy vehicles and trailers over the years!

That's the good news!

Now. The bad news.

We had a wildly busy Memorial Day weekend that left us almost completely out of Dairy Doo!
Like, less than a few scoops to go.
The bottom of the barrel.
This is the Springtime equivalent of an ice cream shop running out of vanilla ice cream on the 4th of July.

It. Just. Can't. Happen.

It's bad for business, bad for the plants, and bad for the customers. No bueno!

The good news is, we know darn near everyone on the Doo Crew down at Dairy Doo HQ and we love them, their product, and their service.

We also know that they would be horrified if a customer came to get organic plants at Bear Creek and couldn't snag a load of Dairy Doo at the same time!

So coming straight off the holiday weekend, they rallied the tandem trailer and a professional Doo hauler and headed Doo North! (See what we did there? 😉)

It wasn't but a few hours after our Dairy Doo SOS that we had a fresh delivery of 100,000 pounds of the good stuff filling our bulk bin!!!
Now THAT is service!

Perfect Planting Weather

Finally!

Have you seen the forecast??

We're declaring it safe to plant!

We did it!

We survived Winter 2026. Whew.

For the last 6 months, it has felt like we have been trapped in a wintry vortex. And believe us when we say, it has been a HARD winter.

So many customers coming back to the farm for the first time this season have asked: 'did you guys have a good winter?'

To be honest: not really.
This winter was brutal.
Certainly not 'good'.

But we survived!

And now, finally, we get to reap the rewards of what we've been waiting for!

A full week of 70s and sunshine!

A forecast of perfection that stretches as long as the weather apps will let us see!

The next 7-10 days at least!

Yeehaw!

It's the most wonderful time of year!
And we're here for it!

But we know how helpful Sunday can be for a busy family.
And for a Spring that just can't seem to warm up!

We will be OPEN Saturday (5/23) from 9:00 - 6:00,
Sunday (5/24) from 10:00 - 5:00,
and Memorial Day Monday (5/25) from 9:00 - 6:00.

Our Food Truck is OPEN from 11:00 until close each day.

You can do all of your garden shopping, snag a bite, and still have Monday to get more done!

One of the best parts about being open for special hours on the weekend is all of the families we get to see.

As a busy family, we get it.
