Our Meat Market Challenge is happening on Filbert Street today until 4 p.m.! We just wrapped up our Rocky Lookalike contest, but there’s still time to take your best staged swing at a side of beef just like Rocky!

Thank you to our incredible partners that have made this special day possible. Thanks to the Rocky Season x PHL Visitor Center for allowing us to be a part of Rocky Season, to giuntasprimeshop and Martin's Specialty Sausage for helping us procure the meat for the challenge, to Trane Technologies for helping us refrigerate it, and Johnny “Cannoli” Garbarino for throwing the first punch.

All donations made today will go to filling out holiday pantry for Sharing Excess who will distribute food items to Philadelphians in need this holiday season.

Bare-knuckle boxer and undefeated middleweight champion Johnny “Cannoli” Garbarino will kick off tomorrow’s Meat Market Challenge at Reading Terminal Market. Join us from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. tomorrow, October 24 for a meat “punching” photo opportunity recreating the iconic Rocky scene. Each person will receive a professional photo and a chance to “punch” the side of beef in exchange for a donation to the Market’s holiday food pantry.

Know before you go:
- The meat is frozen and should not be hit with any force. The stunts in this video were performed by a professional.
- Donations are CARD ONLY. We cannot accept cash.
- Participants will be asked to fill out a waiver prior to “punching” the meat
- The first 50 people in line will get a RTM black beanie.

It's time to break out your beanies for our Rocky Lookalike Contest! Rock your best Rocky Balboa look on Saturday, October 24 at noon for the chance to win a $250 Reading Terminal Market gift card, a copy of Sylvester Stallone's "The Steps," a Philbert Rocky T-shirt and infinite bragging rights.

Participants will line-up on stage, introduce themselves, do their best "Yo Adrian!" shout and shadow box. Judge Annie Allman will choose the winner with input from the crowd.

Since today marks the start of the regular season for the Philadelphia 76ers, we thought it was the perfect time to announce the winner of the "people's vote" for this year's Scrapple Sculpting Contest: Helen Reynolds and her sculpture of an RTM-themed LeBron James Sixers jersey. Congratulations to Helen as well as the "judge's vote" winner Toni Lee for this awesome rendition of our mascot, Philbert the Pig.
