✨Juneteenth is a CELEBRATION of freedom, and it’s also a celebration of legacy. ✨

FREEDOM at the time, looked like land, like trade, like the RIGHT to build something of your own. And for so many Black Americans after emancipation, farming and small business ownership were exactly that pathway to preservation. 🌱

That history is woven into the fabric of farmers markets everywhere, including this one. Juneteenth is a day to celebrate how far we’ve come, and also to sit with how far there still is to go. 🌼

One tangible way to do that work: SUPPORT black owned vendors and small businesses today, this weekend, and every week after….Legacy deserves more than a single day of recognition! 🫶🏽🫶🏾🫶🏿🫶🏻

The desert 🌵 has always known how to take care of its people… and so does Cam with Cam 🌿 🌙

We got one of her Creosote Salves a few weeks ago and it’s already came in handy many times, and we’ve super impressed with its effectiveness! 💥

Creosote, one of the oldest plants in the Sonoran Desert, has been used indigenously, for generations for its healing properties, and it’s especially wonderful for sunburns and bug bites which, in June, feels very relevant. ✨🌼🌿💯

Cam of Lune Herbals works with creosote and a whole apothecary of handcrafted plant medicines: teas, tinctures, capsules, botanical oils, bath soaks, intention candles, and more‼️ She’s an herbalist and Reiki practitioner with a real gift for meeting people where they are, and her table at the market reflects that. 🧿

Mane-Lan Kitchen’s patties, vegan lentil stew and oxtail are a MUST, but their tamarind ginger lemonade might secretly be the best drink at the market! 🤫
