🌿 How is Balsamic Vinegar Made? 🌿
Ever wonder why true balsamic vinegar tastes so rich, sweet, and complex?
It’s because it takes 12–20 years of patience, tradition, and craftsmanship.
🍇 It starts with Trebbiano grapes picked at peak sweetness.
🔥 The grapes are cooked down into a syrup called saba.
🛢️ The saba is aged in oak barrels, nurtured by the “mother.”
🌬️ Nature takes over—evaporation and time do the work.
⏳ After more than a decade, the result is the thick, velvety balsamic you love.

🔥 Spicy Citrus BBQ Salad 🔥

with Cayenne Olive Oil & Grapefruit White Balsamic

Ingredients:
• 4 cups mixed greens (arugula, spinach, romaine)
• 1 cup grilled corn (cut from the cob)
• 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
• 1 avocado, sliced
• ½ red onion, thinly sliced
• ½ cup crumbled cotija or feta cheese
• Optional: sliced grilled chicken or shrimp

Cayenne-Grapefruit Vinaigrette:
• 3 tbsp Grapefruit White Balsamic
• 2 tbsp Cayenne Olive Oil
• 1 tsp honey or agave
• Pinch of sea salt
• Cracked black pepper to taste

Instructions:
1. In a large bowl, toss together greens, corn, tomatoes, onion, and avocado.
2. Whisk all vinaigrette ingredients together until emulsified.
3. Drizzle dressing over the salad, toss gently, then top with cheese and optional protein.
4. Serve chilled or at room temp next to your grilled favorites.

Here at Sonoran Desert Olive Oil Company we are an interactive, hands on tasting room. Once you walk into our location at High Street in North Phoenix, Arizona, you will be greeted by one of our knowledgeable, friendly and helpful staff members. They will guide you through the store and explain the many uses and applications of our extensive selection of balsamic vinegar and olive oil to give you an in-depth explanation of the many health benefits associated with our products.

Our balsamic vinegar is from Modena, Italy and aged between 12 to 18 years using the traditional Solera system. We are part of the UP - Ultra Premium - program which means we carry some of the best olive oil you can find. Our olive oil is sourced from all over the globe; we do two harvests per year, one from each of the Northern and Southern hemispheres, to ensure our olive oil is in season which provides maximum taste and health benefits.
