The farm has been a busy place:

The kittens are really busy growing, Ellie is extra busy during milking time, training the group of heifers to the parlor as they get closer to to their due dates. And Willie? He’s always busy working on whatever is next. The woodworking project he’s working on will be part of a much needed tool that we hope to show all of you soon!

The Farm Store in Piedmont and the Online Farm Store are stocked up on all your farm fresh, nutrient dense food for your family. We’re thankful to have such an abundance of milk to share with you all, with lots of thanks to Ellie’s working with our Jersey heifers that are busy calving.

It’s milking time at My Dad & Me Family Farm. Our Jersey Queens are a ways from the Dairy Barn, which makes for beautiful morning ride.

The Farm Store is open and stocked with all your favorite Jersey goodness: Chocolate Milk, Vanilla Milk, Coffee Milk, Yogurt, Maple Drinkables, and plenty of just plain ol’ straight from the cow Jersey sweetness in a glass jar ready for slugging.

Monday was Garden Day and we were thankful to squeeze in a little w**d obliteration in between all the rain!

Ellie had a chance to try out a new to her wheeled hoe that actually has a few miles on it. Our sweet neighbor Mrs Barbara Usry gave us her father’s wheeled hoe, and we’re thrilled to use it after it spent a few years collecting dust.

If you’ve never tried a wheeled hoe in a vegetable garden, please do! They’re wonderfully efficient tools. If you’ve never tried one and don’t have a kind neighbor sharing a piece of local history with you, give Hoss Tools a try, they make a modern version of this classic tool.
