Farmers are eternal optimists! The forecast looked so daunting - but our Fun Friday is looking so much brighter!

It looks to be a great evening ahead!

Come join us this Friday afternoon from 4-8pm in the parking lot at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Pine Grove Mills!

Bring your coolers to shop from our farmers market vendors - baked goods from Sparrow Eye Bakery - AS WELL AS CHEMICAL-Free SWEET CORN, pasture-raised meats from Pole Cat Hollow Farm and Grove's American Beef, cheese from Russell Ridge Farm, Maple syrup, honey and chicken by Treaster Kettle Farm, wild-caught fish from Kodiak Rush, fresh local veggies from Hidden Branch Farms, cut flowers from Little Barn Farm of Centre Hall LLC, wing sauce by Red Buffalo!

Food by Kaleena’s (gluten-free) and Taproot Kitchen ! B**r by Juniata Brewing Company !

AND live music by La Fiesta Band from 5:30-7:30 - put on your dancing shoes!

Bring the kids for fun with Nittany Balloons.

Fresh chicken this week at Pine Grove Mills Farmers Market Fun Friday!

Spatchcocking a chicken is easier than you may think. Laying the chicken flatter on the grill makes it cook more evenly.

I cut the backbone out of this chicken with a pair of Cutco Super Shears. Any kitchen shears will do.

You can save the backbones in the freezer for some great stock when it gets colder.
