We have done all that we can to ready the homestead for the cold. Now we hunker down and wait it out. Hang in there my fellow livestock homesteaders.....65 more days and the warm returns.

When we expanded our herd of breakfest butt nugget makers to 6 this summer we knew that we would need to update the coop before winter. Today Roger and the girls moved into thier new condo. ONCE again Doug out did himself when I said I wanted to expand the chicken area. This started as a single dog kennel and ended with Twice the space, better laying boxes & Complete with heat! Rugars kennel is also in this end of the building so it's keeping everyone warm! another beautiful job babe thank you!
