I took some pictures of the boys yesterday. I have 2 roosters. This one not the alpha. What he lacks in flock leadership he makes up for in protective instincts. He's a big boy at just shy of one year old. His birthday is April 27th. Brahma roosters won't be fully matured and filled out until about 2 years of age. He has beautiful burnt orange wing feathers and neck plumage. And a beautiful buff colored chest.

If you don't raise any kind of farm animal such as chickens, rabbits, goats, cattle, quail, etc....
Then, it's hard for you to understand what goes into it. It's not cheap!
Feed, pens, enclosures, barns, medications, etc!
We are not a big corporation with government funding.
You are paying for quality! Ran by one person or one family!
Yes, we love it, but it's hard work!!

Yes, I charge more for shipping egg. I candle each egg and wrap each egg in bubble wrap and place in the egg carton. Then fill the box with packing material. Place egg carton inside box. Then, that box is then placed in a bigger box filled with packing materials to prevent movement during shipping.
So the eggs are bubble wrapped and double boxed!!!!
Then, I drive that box to the Post Office!!

Mamma's Brahmas newest family members! These 11 Buff Brahma ladies just graduated to the outside hutch. In about a month, they will get a soft introduction to the rest of the flock.

We are excited to expand. Our goals for this year is a larger, more permanent coop and run, and NPIP certification.
