Little Balkans weekend is here, and we’re celebrating our hometown roots the best way we know how: with food.
Our Little Balkans Edition Monday One-Day Sale gives you everything you need to put a Balkan-inspired meal on the table at home.

Choose from German Slaw, German Potato Salad, Summer Salad or Pasta Salad.
Make it a meal: Ćevapi-Inspired Balkan Sausage with homemade Ajvar.
• Schroeder’s Sausage
• Warm pita bread
• Sliced white onion
• Homemade Ajvar Roasted Red Pepper Relish
• Your favorite Ron’s deli salad on the side
Homemade Ajvar:
• 4 red bell peppers
• 1 medium eggplant
• 4 garlic cloves
• 1/4 cup olive oil
• 1 Tbsp. white vinegar
• 1/2 tsp. salt
• 1/2 tsp. black pepper
• 1/4 tsp. cayenne, optional
Grill the peppers and eggplant until soft and charred. Cover the peppers and let them steam, then peel and remove the stems and seeds. Scoop the softened eggplant from its skin.
Blend the roasted peppers and eggplant with garlic, olive oil, vinegar, salt and pepper until smooth but still slightly textured. Transfer to a saucepan and simmer about 20 minutes to let those flavors come together.
Grill your sausage until browned and cooked through, then serve it with warm pita, sliced onion, plenty of ajvar and your favorite deli salad.
