One of our favorite parts of visiting the old Hollis Country Store as kids? Standing in front of the candy counter, trying to decide what treat to take home!

We’re proud to be carrying on that tradition today here at the Hollis Country Store. From chewy saltwater taffy and classic peanut rounders to Moon Pies and other old-fashioned favorites, we’ve got the kind of goodies that bring back memories with every bite.

These aren’t just candies… they’re little pieces of childhood, road trips, fishing trips, and Saturday afternoons gone by.

One of the sweetest traditions at the historic Hollis Country Store has quickly become our homemade pies — all made from scratch each week by Gena right here at the store. Folks have been driving from hours away just to enjoy a slice (or two!) and spend a little time soaking in that old-fashioned country store atmosphere that’s getting harder and harder to find these days.

Every week the flavors may change a little, so be sure to watch our Facebook posts to see what pies we’ll be serving up each Saturday. Some of our regular favorites include coconut cream, chocolate, and peanut butter… and from time to time you might also find apple, custard, or buttermilk waiting in the pie case.

And trust us — they are all yum, yum good!! 😋

So make plans to come see us this Saturday, grab a slice of pie, and enjoy a little “Hollis Time” here in the Ouachita Mountains.

Happy Sunday from the Hollis Country Store!

A heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who came out and spent part of your Saturday with us. We had such a wonderful day sharing our old country store with so many folks — old friends and new alike. Days like yesterday remind us just how blessed we are to carry on the country store tradition, preserving a little piece of Rural Arkansas and making memories along the way.

We welcomed visitors from all over Arkansas, Texas, Louisiana, and beyond! One special visit was from the White Family — Hollis, Annie, Maggie & Matt — from McComb, Mississippi, who included the Hollis Country Store as part of their trip to the Ouachita Mountains. How special is that? Making new memories at our old country store — that’s what this place is all about.

Your support, your stories, your smiles, and your love for places like this are what make it all possible. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for helping keep this tradition alive.

There’s nothing quite like a beautiful day in the Ouachita Mountains… and one of our favorite local treasures is Forked Mountain Falls here in Hollis!

This scenic waterfall makes for a wonderful outing, and with the forecasted rains, we’re hoping it will be running especially good by Saturday! If you’re looking to combine a visit to the Hollis Country Store with a little outdoor adventure, a trip to Forked Mountain Falls makes for the perfect day in the mountains.
