12 Baskets We buy banana boxes full groceries from buyout, closeouts. liquidations, etc. The savings are passed on to our customers at 1/2 the cost of retail.

Large grocery stores such as Walmart, Trader Joe's, and Roundy's have to push their items to make room for new inventory. Sometimes a single bottle from a package of 24 has been broken so the store gets rid of the whole box; or a pallet of cereal falls over and a third of the pallet gets crushed. Rather than wasting the food that is still good, reclamation centers from all across the United States

will take these items and sell them to "bent and dent" stores such as ours. This is why we are able to sell the groceries at such a deep discount. We try to sell our items at half of the retail price. We have a variety of food items for everyone including Gluten Free, Organic, Ethnic Food, Baking Products, Juice and Coffee, Single Serve items, and Baby Food! What we get may be different every day so if you see something you like, get it while you can because it may not be there the next time you come in! We accept all major forms of Credit and Debit Cards, EBT Cards (Food Stamps) as well as Cash and Checks.

The Dates on the packages are not usually "Expiration Dates". At 12 Baskets, we sometimes get products that are beyond the date, and because of that we can prevent food waste and save money.

12 Baskets is located on Court Street in between Main Street and City Park in Downtown Platteville. Our Hours are 10AM to 6 PM Monday through Friday and from 10
AM to 4 PM on Saturday. Our prices are about half of the retail prices, and you can save even more when you use our Punch Card. We accept All Major Credit and Debit Cards as well as Cash, Checks and Snap/EBT.

Sustainability is a word that is used often in today's culture. Environmentally, Economically and Socially.
We buy our products from warehouses that overstocks, shelf pulls, discontinued and short dated items. Many of these would otherwise be tossed into landfills. Even the food that we cannot sell is given to farmers who use it to supplement their animal feed.
We try to price everything at about one-half of the retail prices. Everyone wants to save money. And by shopping at 12 Baskets, you help us to help others to save money on their groceries.
