BULK ITEMS ON SALE FOR JUNE!!!

Get them together and make the perfect breakfast oatmeal. I grew up on oatmeal with raisins and just stocked up myself.

According to the Mayo Clinic, “Oatmeal provides cholesterol-lowering soluble fiber, while raisins add natural sweetness alongside essential micronutrients like iron and potassium”. Thats enough for me to want to run down and get it on sale!!!

Feeling like some homemade Thai food this week? If so, we have got you covered. Three styles of rice products on sale. Out of the box dinner ideas you can make with these items are:
Spring roles
Pad Thai
Pan fried rice paper roles
Rice paper wrapped dumplings
Rice paper lasagna

OR…just replace them for any noodle dish that you want to make gluten free!! Really, the rice soaks up flavor. Best to make smaller portions. They don’t save well in the fridge. Or make a lot and just eat it all!!!!!!

Did you know that the North Country Food Coop carries medicinal herbs and spices? And some of them are even pretty hard to find. Instead of ordering online, where you don’t know their quality, get them locally at the NCFC. Where they’ve done their research and care about what they’re supplying their customers.

My favorite one that I found was Sheep Sorrel Herb. It is a tart, lemon tasting wild herb that grows throughout the Northeast, including northern New York. Historically it has been used both as a food and as a medicinal herb.

Remember to always ask a staff member if any of the jars are empty. Most of the time there is more in back stock. The NCFC has a huge selection of herbs, spices and teas. I dare you to try them all!!!

Did you know that we do SAMPLE SATURDAYS at the The North Country Food Co-Op? It’s a fun way to test out new food you’ve never had before. It’s also a great way for us to give back to our customers. We love sharing new products, local staples and fan favorites.

If you come in between 10 AM - 1 PM on Saturdays you should see a small table by the front register. Feel free to try out whatever’s there. This week we are doing hot sauce sauceleopard and Meier’s Artisan Cheese.

The North Country Food Co-op try’s hard to anticipate your baking needs. They prepackage baking staples so it is easy to shop for what you need quickly.

They purchase larger bags of local flour options, have refillable containers for extracts and have all your baking supplies. If you don’t see something you use regularly it’s OK to ask a sales associate to see if we can get it in stock. It’s not always an option but you can’t get what you want unless you ask. Don’t forget that you can order in bulk as well and get an extra discount.

The NCFC is full of things you had no idea they carried. Come poke around and see what you can find for your next baking adventure.
