Reptar is a flashy '21 sorrel gelding with lots of chrome! Reptar is a registered APHA grandson of Sun Frost (AQHA). He is currently standing at 14.1h but is expected to finish out around 15.1h. Reptar is well proportioned and boasts with great bone and shape. He has a big hip, beautiful neck, and a way of moving that truly makes him stand out. Not only is this gelding BEAUTIFUL but he also has the brains. He wants to please and work for his rider, in addition to being very personable and affectionate. He is extremely smart, enjoys bonding with his human and is a true gentleman on the ground and a pleasure to have around. Reptar is a bright eyed and happy horse, eager to be with people and will always greet you in the field.
He stalls great, enjoys his turnout and gets along in a herd. He cross ties, baths, fly spray, trailers, stands wonderfully for the farrier, tacks up like a seasoned pro and stands like a brick wall for mounting. He willingly loads and self-loads onto the trailer. He willingly goes over tarps, ground poles, and cross rails. Reptar has had extensive ground work and has a phenomenal foundation if you choose to continue with his Liberty training. On the ground, he will lunge, change directions, stop, back, yield hindquarters, and yield forequarters. Reptar also has extensive desensitization to whips, ropes, tarps, traffic, and bicycles.
Under saddle in the arena, Reptar will work off your leg and seat. He has a responsive stop and back under saddle, along with yielding the hindquarters and forequarters under saddle. He has been gentle introduced to rollbacks at the walk and already knows how to pick up his shoulders. He is smooth to ride at the trot and the lope, soft on your hands and leg. Due to this, a soft handed rider is recommend who understands a sensitive horse. Reptar will work for you regardless of the environment – indoor arena, outdoor arena, through fields, off-site arenas, and crossing water. You point and he says, “Yes sir/ma’am!”
