Cheese balls are a must-have appetizer for parties and holidays. They're so easy to make and have so much flavor! Best part? You can serve them with anything; veggies (carrots, cucumbers, tomatoes, celery, peppers), pretzels, bagel chips, crostini, pita, tortilla chips and of course, crackers.

Ingredients
▢8 oz bacon, chopped, divided
▢1/4 cup sour cream
▢16 oz cream cheese, room temp
▢1/2 cup Mexican cheese, shredded (4 cheese blend)
▢1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded and divided
▢1/4 cup green onions, chopped and divided
▢1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
▢1 teaspoon hot sauce (won't add spiciness, just flavor)
▢1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
▢1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
▢1/2 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
▢dash freshly ground black pepper
▢1 1/4 tsp poppyseeds, divided
▢1/2 cup walnuts or pecan, chopped and divided

Directions
1. Cut bacon into small pieces and sauté until cooked. Once cooled, set aside 1/4 of the bacon for the topping.
2. In a bowl, add 3/4 of the bacon, sour cream, cream cheese, four-cheese blend, 1 1/4 cup cheddar cheese, 3 Tbsp green onions, 1/4 cup walnuts, dry seasonings, and 1 tsp poppy seeds. With a spatula, mix all ingredients until well combined.
3. Finely chop the remaining 1/4 of bacon, 1/4 cup cheddar cheese, 1 Tbsp green onion, and 1/4 cup nuts. Mix together with the 1/4 tsp poppy seed. Spread this mixture onto a cutting board.
4. Form a ball out of the cheese mixture and roll the cheese ball over the toppings to fully coat and shape into an even ball as it's coated. Serve right away or cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
*Pro tip - shred your own cheese for better flavor.

We would like to thank Bernadette and Bruce Perttunen for choosing us to be a part of celebrating their daughter Ireland's high school graduation.

We also appreciate the kind words they shared with us:

"Thank you for allowing us to host Ireland’s graduation celebration dinner at your beautiful restaurant. The evening was truly special, and we are so grateful for the care and attention Jenna and the team put into making everything perfect...

Debbie and Chris were absolutely wonderful—so patient, kind, and attentive to everyone’s needs. They made the entire event run smoothly and completely stress‑free. Their warmth and professionalism were outstanding, and we deeply appreciated everything they did.

We also want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone behind the scenes. The food was exceptional, and we are especially thankful for the extra effort that went into preparing the pastizzi—they were baked to perfection and meant so much to our family. Ireland’s graduation cake was a beautiful sweet ending to a perfect evening.

Our hearts are full of gratitude to the entire Cantoro Trattoria family. Bravo on creating such a memorable and meaningful celebration for us."

We can't express how much words like this mean to us and we're grateful for being able to extend our hospitality and space to people celebrating special moments.

Hey Foodies!
Orange juice isn’t just for breakfast anymore—get creative in the kitchen with these fresh and flavorful ways to use it in your cooking!

- Marinades – The acidity helps tenderize meat, fish, or poultry and adds a citrusy zing.
- Salad Dressings – Swap out most of the oil and use OJ for a light, bright vinaigrette.
- Ice Cubes – Freeze in trays and pop into sangria, fruit punch, or smoothies for extra flavor.
- Sauces – Deglaze your pan with orange juice while cooking meat or fish for a sweet, tangy finish.
- Cakes & Quick Breads – Replace water or milk with OJ for a citrusy twist in your baked goods!

💬 Got a creative way to use OJ? Drop it in the comments!

Did you know there are five different Moscato styles?
1. Sparkling & Semi-Sparkling - highly aromatic and sweet but perfectly balanced with zippy acidity, bubbles, and a clean, minerally finish.
2. Still Moscato - Wines are often dry to taste, but since the aromatics are so sweet and fruity your brain tricks you into thinking they’re sweet.
3. Pink Moscato - This wine is made with mostly Muscat grapes and usually dollop of Merlot to give it a ruby-pink color.
4. Red Moscato - It’s rare, but there’s a grape variety called Black Muscat. Imagine raspberry, rose petals and violets with subtle roasted notes of Assam black tea.
5. Dessert - In Sicily, Muscat grapes are often partially dried to concentrate the sweetness.
