Gathering Winds Farm & Orchard We are a small famly farm and veteran owned. Join us as we journey with our family on our new farm adventure. Join the local farm-to-table journey.

We have been farming on a small scale for 12 years raising our young family knowing how to raise and grow their own foods. Our children take an active role in caring for the animals we raise and participate in planning our gardens each year. This past six years we are farming larger and are slowly growing foods for family and soon community on 1 plus acres of farmland as well as 10 acres of apple

s. We believe in sustainable practices, free ranging animals on the fruits of the lands and high quality produce that is produced locally and sold locally. Apples, Peaches, Pears, pasture raised chicken and pork seasonally, fresh pressed cider seasonally and vegetables.

Farm tales Tonight —-

A defiant trespasser sped down our farm road in a van last evening at 8:30pm, ignoring posted No Trespassing and Private Road signs that are there for a reason—especially during the busy farm season. Instead of respecting the property and the people who work it, they chose to argue with the farm owners.

Is it me? We have teens, we have a dog, we operate mowers, tractors and have hunters with permission during turkey season on the farm. . Then during the encounter passing 3 No trespassing sighs, private road signs and said they were watching the sunset but they were driving around the farm not stopping, how is this okay?

The sunset was priceless. The behavior was unbelievable.

Be an advocate for you parents the healthcare system needs you for them. Without you and without their knowing - ridiculous happens - demand communication, patient and family centered care. Make sure your wishes are not only on paper but in every medical record - and check it every six months don’t let medical charting oversight happen on your watch.

Many of you may or may not have seen my voice on Prime health recently. Hospital takeovers daily Maine healthcare staff and patients. I am not afraid to speak up and I hope you won’t either.
