It is officially one week until Halloween, did you know that the holiday has been evolving for over 2,000 years? It originated as the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain. It wasn't until the 8th century that Pope Gregory III designated November 1 as All Saint's Day (or all Hallow's day), which then made All Hallow's Eve which eventually became known as Halloween. One tradition so many love is trick-or-treating and it always seems to be a race against time to get the kids dressed and dinner done before we actually trick or treat. How about a spooky dinner idea? Mummy dogs! I use Smith's hot dogs and wrap strips of crescent roll dough around them to look like mummy wrap and then I bake them. A cute idea and pretty quick! What is your favorite Halloween dinner?

What a beautiful day starting out! A perfect fall Saturday! You still have today to load up on some of our great sales today. We are open until 6 this evening and will open back up on Monday at 8am. Don't forget to grab last minute supplies for Sunday brunch and dinner!

Throughout the day our crew will be working on filling the case with some of our favorites for the weekend! We are making stuffed peppers, meatloaf, stuffed mushrooms, jalapeno poppers, and our lead meat cutter is cutting some fresh T-bone and porterhouse steaks! Weekends are more delicious at the market!

Did you know that you can use cheese curls for breading? Crushing them up and substituting them for breadcrumbs you can make a unique twist on classic favorites! Crushed up, you can add them into biscuit dough for a unique twist. Skip a classic sausage roll and dredge Italian sausage in flour, egg wash, and cheese curl crumbs then deep fry for a crazy twist on a classic! Right now, I have regular, jalapeno popper, honey cheese, and hot honey curls in stock. Make dinner fun tonight and get the weekend started with help from the market!

Did you know we carry granola? We carry peanut butter, cranberry almond, and maple granolas. Have as breakfast, through it on yogurt, even plop it on ice cream! No matter howe you have it, it is sure to be a winner!

Did you know we carry Rhodes dinner rolls? We have packs of the famous frozen dough in our retail freezer. These aren't just for making dinner rolls either! Ever hear of butterscotch bubble loaf? You layer 24 thawed rolls in a bundt pan with dry butterscotch pudding, chopped pecans, and a melted brown sugar-butter syrup; let rise and bake at 350 degrees for 35-45 minutes. Not just desserts either, you can use pepperoni and cheese in the dough to make your own pepperoni rolls. Make something delicious!

Did you know there are more uses than just brownies when it comes to brownie mix? You can alter how much liquid you use to make brownie cookies. You can add extra eggs to make waffles. Add melted butter and water then cook in an iron skillet to make brookies. If you add extra flour and reduce liquids you can make whoopie pies. If you layer the mix with cherry pie filling and top with grated frozen butter you can bake black forest dump cake. There are so many uses for one little mix!
