Next up- Black Copper Marans 😍

If dark eggs are your dream, these are THE ones. My Black Copper Marans are under a purple Crosshatch rooster, and the goal is simple: dark, heavily bloomed, gorgeous eggs. And I just introduced 4 Crosshatch hens into the breeding program too — this line is only getting stronger! 💪

Here's why I'm obsessed:
✨ Bred for egg color & bloom above all else
✨ That deep color + heavy bloom = the prettiest eggs in the carton
✨ That Crosshatch purple bloom — the lilac-purple/pink sheen over those dark eggs is unreal 😍
✨ Late season they get a little lighter, but they're still speckled 😍
✨ And this is how you get bloomy olives — backcross to a bloomy Marans rooster like this guy, and that heavy bloom carries right onto those olive eggs! 🫒

💰 Marans Dozen — $120 (15 eggs, a dozen + 3 extras!)
💰 Marans 1/2 Dozen — $60 (6 eggs)
🗓️ Preorders open November 1st at www.intothemeadows.com
First come, first served — and these always go fast!

Team dark eggs or team colorful eggs?

For anyone that was wondering about the pool update: here it is ☀️

We went from white plaster to aqua blue pebble sheen and redid the tile work. I love the color it gives now!

SURPRISE- meet Apollo, our LGD… ❤️

Our worst predators here are fox, raccoons & opossums & after he grows up, he will rule the land.
I’ll go through the comments in a bit after walking the perimeter & pens with him & reach out for an address for a care package 📦

I’ve never owned an outside dog because my heart is too soft, but it is 100% necessary. Any tips or tricks?! Share them in the comments please 🙏

I mean… at least he’s doing his thing right 🤣

🐣 SPECKLES ✨ These are the eggs that made me fall in love with this whole thing. No two are ever alike — dark chocolate, olive, terracotta, pale blue, pink, mint & all covered in speckles like somebody flicked a paintbrush over them. 😍

This dozen pulls from ALL my speckled pens — Marans, Welsummer, OE, Silverudd, Fibro, ICB, and a few hybrids — so every box is a surprise mix. 🎨

📦 Speckled Dozen — $120 (15 eggs)
🗓 Preorders open November 1st at 7am

Which color combo would you be hoping for in your box?

Tomorrow, I add a valuable asset to our homestead..
Any guesses what it could be?!
The first person to guess right gets a care package from me ❤️
