I started the season with 132 preorders & am now down to 24 to finish out the season. SO close! I am SO excited to reorganize pens.
⭐️ All the BC olives are going under a homozygous ICB rooster to ensure they stay olive. No more brown eggs for me.
⭐️ Welsummer/Silverudd are going under a homozygous SR rooster
⭐️ Marans pen will be only the darkest Marans & heavy bloomers.
My only unknown is my frizzles because I wanna put them under a different speckled rooster. Would you use Welsummer/SR rooster? ICB rooster or Lavender Ameraucauna/SR rooster? Let me know!

I have a lavender Ameraucauna/Silverudd mix rooster that I was gonna get rid of, but am now wondering if I test him to be sure he’s homozygous & see the difference he makes in offspring eggs compared to the ICB rooster because the lavender coloring and birchen is actually beautiful. Anyone have this mix going already that I could see eggs? I would put him over some ICB hens if I kept him & compare who gives better blue speckles. ✨
