The Port Angeles Food Bank currently provides 200,000 meal

Let's play a game.

πŸ§€ Buy 2 boxes of mac & cheese. 🐟 Buy 2 cans of tuna. ❀️ Drop them off in the bin outside the gate at 632 N. Oakridge Drive.

That's it. That's the game.

For just a few dollars, you can help stock some of the most popular items in our market and help local families stretch their grocery budget a little further.

These are some pretty amazing numbers, but what really stands out is the number of lives touched. From hot meals and hygiene supplies to clothing, showers, laundry services, and safe support, TAFY continues to be a lifeline for so many young people in our community. Supporting youth and families takes all of us, and we're grateful for organizations like TAFY that show up every day to do that work. Congratulations to the entire TAFY team, volunteers, and supporters on a remarkable year. β€οΈπŸ‘

Thank you to Grocery Outlet of Port Angeles for their generous support of Port Angeles School District's food pantries, and to the community members who helped raise an additional $750.
Supporting children and families takes many organizations, programs, businesses, and neighbors working together. We're grateful to be part of a community that shows up for kids, both in school and beyond. 🍎πŸ₯«πŸ‘

If you were at Empty Bowls, then you enjoyed some amazing food prepared by these two lovely ladies!
We owe a big thank you to them for making sure everything ran so smoothly and I'm sure we can all agree the food was spectacular!
Katharine Miller and Frances K. Howell are in our kitchen most days of the week, preparing food for our market and other special events like Empty Bowls.
Along with all of our other dedicated volunteers, we really could not nourish our community without them!

"For most children, Friday afternoon marks the beginning of a weekend filled with family, friends, and time away from school.

For hundreds of children across Clallam County, it can also mean something far more uncertain:

Will there be enough food at home until Monday morning?"

Thank you everyone who came out to Empty Bowls on Saturday!! We had so much fun and we hope you did too!

We raised just over $20,000 for Friday Food Bags!!

That is such an amazing start and leaves us $30,000 short of our goal to raise funds for just the first portion of the school year.

If you'd like to help us keep kids fed over the weekend, you can donate here: https://secure.qgiv.com/for/fappea2/

Thank you sponsors and thank you Olympic Coast Creative!! This event would not have happened without you!

We're grateful to the Peninsula Daily News for highlighting the Port Angeles Farmers Market SNAP Market Match and Protein Match programs. These programs help local families stretch their food dollars while supporting local farmers and food producers. As federal funding declines and demand continues to grow, the market is working to sustain these important food access programs through community support. Please take a moment to read and learn more about the impact these programs have in our community. πŸ’šπŸŒ±
