So excited to work with Swfl Produce to have these in our market! Stop by today before they are gone! 3057 S Tamiami Trail in Port Charlotte. Open 10am to 6pm Tuesday through Saturday. Some folks have told us their GPS tried to route them behind the building for some reason. We are right next door to Ace Hardware on the access road along 41.

😅 Life Lesson I’m Finally Ready to Admit…

I don’t have to do all the homesteading things.

There, I said it.

🌿 One of the greatest homesteading lessons I’ve learned is this: I don’t have to do it all. 🌿

When I first started down this path, I felt like I needed to learn every skill, grow every crop, raise every animal, preserve every food, and make every product myself.

Over time, I realized something beautiful.

I can learn about all of it. I can try it at least once. I can appreciate the work, dedication, and craftsmanship behind it. But I don’t have to be the one doing every single thing.

Instead, I can focus on the things I truly enjoy and support others in my community who are passionate about the things I don’t enjoy as much—or who simply do them far better than I ever could.

That’s the beauty of a strong local community. One family mills grain. Another bakes bread. Someone else raises livestock, grows produce, keeps bees, makes soap, crafts herbal products, or teaches valuable skills. Together, we’re stronger than any one of us could be alone.

Homesteading isn’t about doing everything yourself. It’s about becoming more connected—to the land, to the skills, and most importantly, to each other.

When we support one another’s gifts, everyone benefits. We spend more time doing what we love, less time struggling through what we don’t, and we build relationships that are worth far more than the products themselves.

❤️ Community over competition.
🌾 Neighbors over strangers.
🤝 Working together instead of doing it all alone.

That’s a lesson I’m grateful God has taught me along this journey.

What makes Homestead.Market different?

Honestly, it’s not the building, the shelves, or even the products.

It’s the people.

What started as a simple vision has grown into a community of faith-filled individuals, families, farmers, artisans, and small business owners who believe in something bigger than themselves. Together, we’re helping bring back the values of sharing knowledge, supporting one another, and living with greater intention.

Every vendor brings their own gifts, experiences, and passions. Every customer brings encouragement, conversations, and connections. It’s a place where people gather not just to shop, but to learn, grow, and build relationships.

We don’t claim to have all the answers, but we are grateful for what God is doing through this community. Time and time again, we’ve watched Him bring the right people together at the right time.

Our prayer is that Homestead.Market continues to be a place where neighbors become friends, wisdom is shared freely, local families are supported, and faith, family, and community remain at the center of all we do.
