Back in the 40’s And still going. Just looks a little bit different
Traces of Texas reader Rodney Harris shared this nifty photo of fishing boats in Port Isabel from the 1940's. The boat on the far left, "Eliza", was owned by Rodney's dad in the mid 60's. He converted her into a snapper boat. Over a twenty-year period, he caught over one million pounds of red snapper plus tons of other species on that boat.
