When Willie Mae said goodbye to her hometown of North Port Saint Joe she was just a young mother.
The community she left was thriving with business and prosperity.
Little did she know that when she returned with her adult children the town would qualify for "Blighted Status". Reality is...no more thriving Main Street and now her community has an expressed sense of abandonment from the local government.

She is semi-retired now ready to slow down and replant her roots, but what she worries about and what she prays for is that the prosperous life she grew up in can be the one her children and grandchildren experience.

Please take a moment and look over the 2016 NPSJ Master Plan created by the Project Area Coalition (PAC) https://redevelopingnpsj.org and find the inspiration within it to join us, Pioneer Bay Community Development Corporation, the PAC, and support our efforts.
We're small nonprofits facing a Goliath in barriers but we are knocking them over with the help of many giant partners like the EPA and compassionate donors like you.
