The Port Wing Farmer’s Market opens tomorrow at 9am. I will be there with fresh baked sourdough bread, cherry scones and gluten friendly cookies. New this year are gluten friendly double chocolate cookies, gluten friendly pecan sandies and gluten friendly blueberry lemon snack cakes. It’s been a long winter, come out and celebrate spring this Memorial Day weekend!

Silver Sage Farm and Flowers is hosting the first farm tour of the season Sunday May 17th from 1-3pm. Stop by to see Mary and Heather and learn about what goes into producing the beautiful bedding plants sold in the greenhouse, the beautiful cut flower bouquets and the amazing produce that is enjoyed all summer!

How can four simple ingredients turn into something so great? Organic flour, water, salt and time mixed together in the right proportions creates amazing sourdough bread. Time is a huge factor. It takes three days to make a great loaf.
