The ultimate labor of love. ✨

There is nothing quite like the feeling of slicing into a fresh, homemade sourdough loaf and seeing that perfect crumb structure. This beautiful bake is all thanks to my starter, Melchizedek, who has been working hard behind the scenes!

From feeding the starter to the hours of patient waiting, stretching, and folding—every single minute pays off the second you hear that golden crust crackle. The kitchen here at The Baker's Acre smells like heaven right now because the ovens are working overtime! I am currently hard at work baking a whole lineup of fresh sourdough products for The Sowers Basket's pop-up sales event this Saturday. 🥖🥐
