JOB SUMMARY
Under general supervision, the associate will accurately and efficiently select products in the warehouse. Prepare products for shipping by stacking in an orderly and stable configuration, while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Read customer order from label screen and select product by slot and description.
Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets in the proper sequence.
Attach labels on product.
Properly operate an electric pallet jack (2-pallet length) to proceed to correct slot location, and transport product to dock area for staging.
Handle products with the necessary care.
Report any damage of merchandise, equipment or facility to a supervisor.
Perform daily equipment checks.
Assist in the clean-up of the facility and sign off on the daily cleaning area that the supervisor may assign.
Sign in and out for all equipment when used.
Use basic communication skills to understand work systems, instructions, etc.
Adhere to all applicable GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), personal hygiene, and SQF (Safe Quality Food) policies and procedures as described in the European Imports – Sysco Food Safety Training Manual.
Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

High school education or equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired is required.

Experience

Six months of prior warehouse experience is preferred.

Professional Skills

Ability to handle up to 80 lbs.; 20 lbs. regularly is required.

Working Conditions

General working conditions – an environment with temperatures, of 0, 35, 65 degrees and ambient temperatures.

Supervision Received:

General supervision is received from the day or night Assistant Warehouse Manager.

JOB SUMMARY

Accurately cut to trim and yield specifications as specified by information provided by cut tickets
Provide communication to the supervisor of any discrepancies between cutting tickets and normal customer purchases
Pull raw materials and pre-cut inventory according to code dates and report any short shelf-life items to the supervisor
Properly label all products and equipment to conform to all legal and safety regulations
Properly and accurately record all necessary data to produce assigned cutting yield tests
Accurately count product inventory levels and maintain levels set forth by the supervisor
Ensure that all product specifications are being met according to guidelines
Maintain work areas in compliance with U.S.D.A. guidelines
Assemble and tear down any equipment in the work area at the beginning and/or end of your shift
Properly clean, store and maintain all knives, scales, etc. assigned to you
Manage profitability by achieving product yields and meeting deadlines for product readiness
Complete other duties as assigned
To know and understand the company’s safety and health goals and its objectives. Assist the company in achieving these goals by participating in the safety program
To help develop and follow all safe work practices
To give a written report of unsafe conditions or unsafe acts to management
To report all accidents, injuries or illnesses to my supervisor immediately
Prior experience with portion cutting meat
Ability to perform mathematical calculations and conversions to determine the amounts and sizes of products needed for orders
Ability to read, write and communicate in the English language

Physical Demands and Working Environment

Physical strength to lift and maneuver 50-60 pounds
Standing, stooping and climbing are regular activities for this employee
The employee must have the ability to negotiate throughout the production and warehouse areas unassisted without disrupting regular production and warehousing activities.
Normal levels of eyesight and hearing after correction
Color vision is required
The ability to touch, feel, manipulate fingers and limbs to operate various processing and material handling equipment is necessary
The ability to smell is required, in order to detect levels of wholesomeness and spoilage
This position requires the candidate to be in refrigerated processing and warehouse areas
These areas are cold and wet and exposure to moving machinery and sharp surfaces are a regular occurrence
This is a high noise area

Process bulk vac/coffin orders independently
Assist machine operators in running machines and orders through the machine properly (apprentice type situation)

We finally have a date on the books for our next Parking Lot Sale. We are excited to see you all on Friday 4/2/2021. So make sure your Calendar is set and you tell all your friends that it is time to stock up the Freezer with the best Protein around town.

We are still finalizing the the Order Guide, but we hope to have it up soon. This round we will be opening Pre-Orders MUCH EARLIER to allow us time to get the items that you all want so much.

Here it is, the menu for the parking lot steak sale, happening a week from today, 9/11, here at our building 10am-2pm.

As always, we may decide over the course of the week to switch or add items. We are fully open for regular business, so sometimes other work dictates what we can and cannot provide to you.

***A note on Pre-Orders***

Pre-Oreders will be taken September 8th and 9th ONLY, from 12pm to 3pm. Please call during these hours only. We do our best to make sure there is enough to go around, but some items will sell out.
