We have been big fans of the Culinary Breeding Network for a very long time and we are so excited to be hosting a show of the various poster art they have produced over the years. Lane Selman has made it her life work to dive deep into connecting farmers and chefs here in the Pacific Northwest and around the world in finding new and old fruit and vegetable varieties to grow and develop as culinary delicacies. The Variety Showcase, produced by Lane and her CBN team, is a special event that builds community among farmers, chefs, food aficionados, and eaters! It is a beautiful event that continues to build up our food community! Since the first Variety Showcase, Lane has gone on to produce other amazing culinary events like the Sagra del Radicchio e Fagioli and the Tomato Fest.
The Culinary Breeding Network is a treasure for our community and we couldn’t be more excited to be hosting this show for you!

We are deeply grateful to our Fresh Love community!
Every day for the month of March, we asked for small donations at checkout, and you all answered the call! Our goal was $600 and we met and exceeded that goal raising $1044 to go towards the eighth grade Seattle trip at Roseway Heights Middle School.
These funds will go towards making sure every student that wants to go is able to.
Thank you so much, we are so happy to be able to have helped make this trip happen!

Chopped Salad perfection!

In case you didn’t know yet, we released the amazing Spring Green chopped salad out into the world recently, and if you’ve ever had one of our salad specials, you know IT IS GOOOOOD!

A delicious mix of organic Romaine, Spinach and Radicchio with pepperoncini, chopped jalapeño stuffed green olives, shreddy cheddar, house pickled celery, our herby Green Goddess dressing and Avocado to top it off!

Share one with a friend while noshing on a Mama’s Turkey or take one or two home to include with dinner!

Spring break is upon us and I know by Thursday we’ll need something fun but low effort to keep everyone in good spirits! Farmers - sharing their love of growing food with us is whats drives them, it’s their passion. Here at Fresh Love we have a deep respect for the hard work and self determination that it takes to operate a farm.
To share a slice of farm life and the our connection to local food we invited the widely respected Pacific Northwest farm photographer Shawn Linehan to display a set of photographs from her decades of work connecting with local farmers. Shawn and Ben collaborated on this curated set of her work to highlight the bond between farmers and their animals and crops. Our hope was to put together a collection that highlights farmers’ hands on efforts and experiences caring for and harvesting food for their communities.
Shawn’s photographs evoke a deep appreciation of the relationship and connection farmers have with their farms.
We are honored to host Shawn and her work and hope you get a chance to come by to see the collection. The show runs through the month of March. Stay tuned for a date for the closing reception sometime in late March.

We’re kickin’ our smoothie game up a few notches!

We love yogurt combined with our house made Maple Nut Granola, so we figured we might as well try stacking it on top of a smoothie with some fruit on top! And the Fresh Love Smoothie Stack was born! Similar to a smoothie bowl but a bit more mobile.

Pick a topping (or several) and any add-ins, like lionsmane powder, or a shot of sea moss from … we stack the yogurt and granola on top of your smoothie along with your toppings and blend in your add-ins.

Voilà! A delicious meal in a cup!

This Friday,
We are staying open

We do not make this decision lightly, and we stand in solidarity with our friends and neighbors who are vulnerable to the violence and danger this administration is putting so many people through, the people of Minnesota, & our friends and neighbors striking.

We will be here to nourish you while you strike.

As with many small businesses, our employees rely on their shifts to pay their bills so we don’t want to make cuts to their hours. This time of year is a bit more challenging for small businesses and staff, a time when we make some sacrifices to make it through the leaner months. We are showing up by donating a portion of our Friday sales to a local organization working to provide resources to our immigrant neighbors.

The past month has been heartbreaking in so many ways. When things are hard, we need each other. We need to be in community with our neighbors and friends. To hold each others hands and listen and care for one another. We’re happy to be a gathering space for community, serve our delicious & nourishing treats and meals, and be here for you and your people, to get together and share your lives. We need to hug and talk and love one another now more than ever.

So, if you want, we will be here for you Friday, and hopefully for many more days to come.
