Say hello to Toothbutter PDX at Lents International Farmers Market this Sunday!

Toothbutter PDX is a local micro bakery offering high-quality adaptations of heritage rye breads and Northern European baked goods.

Using traditional techniques and long-fermented sourdough, baker/owner Sophia Illk Jackson (pictured) makes utilitarian bread meant to be a workhorse staple in your kitchen. Even if you're not a fan of rye, Sophia's breads and baked goods are sure to change your mind.

Toothbutter's bread offerings include:

Discover your new favorite tamales this Sunday at Lents International Farmers Market—Tamales Poblanos!

For over 10 years, this family-owned and operated business has delighted market shoppers with their authentic Puebla-style tamales. Each tamale is handcrafted and filled with delicious options like pork, chicken, veggie, cheese & jalapeños, or cheese & spinach, and wrapped in a corn husk.

Their tamales are served hot and fresh from the steamer, unwrapped, and topped with one or both of their mouthwatering sauces—Chile de árbol or salsa verde—and a dollop of crema.

Quench your thirst with their refreshing aguas frescas, available in hibiscus, horchata, lemonade, and rotating berry and melon flavors.

Sip the smooth and balanced flavors of M.A.D.E. Finest From The Motherland coffee at Lents International Farmers Market this Sunday!

M.A.D.E. (Making All Days Everlasting) Finest From The Motherland is dedicated to bringing the finest coffee from Africa to the world.

Founded by two immigrants from East and West Africa who are passionate about giving back to their communities, M.A.D.E. supports sustainable farming practices, women-led initiatives, and community development, providing access to education, healthcare, and improved farm infrastructure in the regions where the coffee is sourced.

M.A.D.E. sources organically grown coffee beans directly from family farms in Kenya, Liberia, and Uganda.

They also oversee every step of the process after sourcing, from importing the beans to roasting them in small batches and packaging them locally.

Their coffee is available in whole beans (in light, medium, and dark roasts) and served by the cup. Additionally, 10% of their proceeds go towards building clinics and schools in the farming regions.

Visit M.A.D.E. at the Lents market every 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month! They are also at Kenton Farmers Market the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month.
