One head of red leaf lettuce is $3.29 at Giant. My 250 count seed packet was $3.

My kids will tear pieces off to eat when they’re running around outside just because it’s there, and I know that seed packet isn’t going to waste. I may not pick them as large as the store, but I pick them when my family needs to eat. For 1¢ a head, and for something that grows ANYWHERE, I am thrilled.

Plant them in the early spring, keep planting under your tall plants in the summer, and if anyone is giving Justin hints about my birthday gift this year… a cold frame for winter lettuce would be great 😂

Two posts in one day, who do I think I am? Someone who saw their bok choy starting to flower 😅 True to my word, I share how we use everything we grow (and sell!)

The Baby Milk Bok Choy & Round 2 of red radishes gave us our dinner sides tonight - garlic sautéed bok choy & roasted radishes! The kids actually eat their vegetables when they pull them out of the ground

We harvested about 1/4 of our Malaga radishes over the weekend! We gave some to family, and pickled the rest. AMAZING on a sandwich, and sweeter than a pickled cucumber when snacking.

Our bearded irises are in full bloom, the carrots are successfully succession planted (say that 5 times fast), and we planted our tomato starts this morning.

We have tons of seedlings out, let us know if you need any. We deliver locally!

Spring Garden is in full swing and we are so excited! Soon the Baby Milk bok choy and Malaga radish will be ready to harvest, . We don’t have any bok choy seedlings left (so sorry!) but they’ll be back up in August for a fall crop.

We got our potatoes in, and we will wait for the end of May for the sweet potatoes! We use grow bags for both of these, it makes the harvesting part easier 🥔🍠

Cool season in the garden 🫜

We have a lot of our warm season crops hardening off, and we have over 1,000(!) baby plants in the ground right now. Bok Choy is currently the prettiest, followed closely by our peas. Cool season extra seedlings are available!

Stock flower is some of my favorite bouquet additions, and they’re loving the hardening off process. The Arugula, Broccoli, Brussel Sprouts, Bok Choy, Cauliflower, and Cabbages have been transplanted into our garden… which means these 🪴 are almost ready for yours!
