🍁 Final Prairie FarmStand of the Season 🍁
Tomorrow is the last FarmStand day of the 2025 season — I’ll be packing things up and heading south soon, but not before sharing a few fall favorites from my kitchen!
This week, I put the squash from The Land School to delicious use:
Butternut Squash Bread – a spiced quick bread that tastes like fall in a slice; not too sweet, and perfect toasted with butter.
Red Kuri Squash Muffins with Maple Glaze – tender muffins with a nutty sweetness and warm spice, finished with a maple drizzle.
Pumpkin Bars with Cream Cheese Frosting – soft, lightly spiced bars topped with tangy cream cheese frosting. (Fingers crossed they last through the sunny 60° day tomorrow!)

🍎 Brandy Old Fashioned Jam and Extreme Ginger Applesauce
🌶 The last of the peppers and onions
From The Land School:
🎃 Butternut and Red Kuri Squash — obviously delicious in breads and muffins 😉
And, of course, all the FarmStand favorites — Chocolate Chip Cookies, eggs, honey, maple syrup, jams, and jellies.
🌻 A heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported the FarmStand this year — whether you stopped by for cookies, produce, or just a friendly chat. I’ve loved getting to know more of my Prairie Farm neighbors, and I’m already looking forward to reopening in May 2026 (just in time for Garage Sale weekend!).
By this time next week, I’ll be road-tripping to Florida for the winter — consider it my test kitchen phase! 😄 I’ll keep you posted on new recipes and ideas for next season.
